# Installing Resources

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Copy the `resources` folder into `txData`

Find the folder named **resources** from your download, then copy it into your server's **txData** folder.

If asked to **Replace files/folders**, choose **Yes / Replace All**.

{% hint style="info" %}
Tip: On Windows, you can drag & drop the folder. On macOS, hold `Option` while dragging to copy.
{% endhint %}
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Open `server.cfg` in a text editor

Go to your server files, find **server.cfg**, right‑click → *Open with* → **Notepad** (or any editor).

If the file won't open, make sure file extensions are visible and the file is not `server.cfg.txt`.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Add this line at the bottom of `server.cfg`

Copy:

{% code title="server.cfg" %}

```
ensure [Razed-Mods]
```

{% endcode %}

Put this **below** other `ensure` lines for your resources. One line is enough.

![](https://content.gitbook.com/content/b3AK0VuxeTXBGOjWAigm/blobs/v0cT0G3BmleBT7FXeyyd/ensure%20tebex.png)
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Save server.cfg and start your FiveM server

* Press `Ctrl` + `S` (Windows) or `⌘` + `S` (Mac) to **save** the `server.cfg` file.
* Close the text editor.
* Start (or restart) your FiveM server. You can do this by launching **FXServer.exe**.

If everything is correct, the console should start the Razed-Mods resources without any errors.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Quick Troubleshooting

<details>

<summary>Nothing happens / resource didn’t start</summary>

* Re‑check that `resources` sits inside `txData` (not beside it).
* Confirm the line is `ensure [Razed-Mods]` (brackets included).
* Restart the whole server after saving `server.cfg`.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Getting a Recursive Error crash</summary>

* Make sure you don't have other visual mods running. Remove them if you do.
* Create a new FiveM server since yours is likely using outdated files which are causing the crash.

</details>

<details>

<summary>server.cfg didn’t save</summary>

* Close other programs that might be locking the file.
* Run your editor as Administrator (Windows).

</details>

<details>

<summary>Still stuck?</summary>

Send a screenshot of your `txData` folder and the bottom of your `server.cfg` to support in our Discord server. We’ll try our best to find the issue as quickly as possible.

# NaturalVision Evolved Client Side

Blurring the line between fantasy and reality.

{% embed url="<https://marketplace.cfx.re/packages/7206848-naturalvision-evolved-fivem>" %}

### About

**NaturalVision Evolved (NVE Legacy)** is a work-in-progress visual overhaul mod currently in its beta stage. It introduces extensive enhancements across a wide range of visual systems, including environmental weather effects, lighting, ambient color grading, tonemapping, world textures, building models, props, vegetation, and more. These changes are designed to significantly elevate visual fidelity and narrow the gap between stylized presentation and real-world realism.

The goal was to try and make GTAV look visually similar to Southern California in real life. In order to achieve this, research on the Los Angeles (Los Santos) and Salton Sea (Sandy Shores) regions was conducted using hundreds of photos and hours upon hours of video footage. All of this was necessary in an attempt to produce the most realistic visual experience currently possible within GTAV's limited game engine.

***

### Technical Aspects

This pack contains a cliented sided FiveM mod.\
\
There are plenty of optional add-ons included with NVE, such as a roads overhaul pack, extra vegetation pack, LSPDFR related enhancements, seasonal content packs, custom vehicles and much more. This gives users the ability to customize the game to their liking.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Make sure your FiveM "mods" folder does not contain any other graphical mods. Delete any old graphical mods from FiveM before proceeding with this install.**

## Display Brightness Tips

{% hint style="info" %}
It is very important for you to set the correct brightness level. Otherwise you won't see certain details properly.

Try to keep your GTAV display brightness at 50% for the best possible experience.

You can copy my settings below. Keep in mind they're based on my own monitor's brightness settings.

To get the best possible results, I suggest reading [this guide](https://geforce.com/whats-new/guides/how-to-calibrate-your-monitor) and calibrating your monitor's display settings.

Alternatively, you can take all the tests on the top of [this page](http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/contrast.php) and calibrate your monitor as you go along.

# NaturalVision Evolved Single Player

Blurring the line between fantasy and reality.

{% embed url="<https://marketplace.cfx.re/packages/7228346-naturalvision-evolved-single-player>" %}

This pack contains a Single Player Mod\
\
There are plenty of optional add-ons included with NVE, such as a roads overhaul pack, extra vegetation pack, LSPDFR related enhancements, seasonal content packs, custom vehicles and much more. This gives users the ability to customize the game to their liking.

## RAGEPluginHook Tips

***

{% hint style="info" %}
If you want to use NVE with ReShade + RAGEPluginHook then you must install the optional add-on called 'LSPDFR Compatibility Patch'. &#x20;

After that you must go to your GTAV folder and run the file called 'GTAV - RPH Launcher.bat'. This script will automatically start everything for you.
{% endhint %}

**If this does not work then you can follow the steps below to manually run it.**

* First, launch GTAV normally through Steam, Social Club or the Epic Launcher.&#x20;
* Once your game is at the menu screen that says "Quit", "Settings", "Online", "Story Mode" etc, Run RAGEPluginHook.exe from your GTAV folder.&#x20;
* Wait for RAGEPluginHook to load everything.&#x20;
* Once it's fully loaded, you can then click "Story Mode" and load into single player.&#x20;
* Now you will be able to use LSPDFR with NVE + ReShade together. Enjoy playing!

{% hint style="warning" %}
You may need to disable the GeForce Experience overlay in order to launch your game with RAGEPluginHook and ReShade
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="warning" %}
RAGEPluginHook may not launch properly if you wake your computer from sleep mode. If you run into this issue then restart your computer and try again.
{% endhint %}

## Trainer Tips

***

* ScriptHookV is required for trainers.
* [Recommended trainer: Simple Trainer](https://gta5-mods.com/scripts/simple-trainer-for-gtav)
* Do not use other trainers to change weathers with this mod, forceful cloud changes can break cloud formation and cause visual bugs.
* Use "real-time duration" in Simple Trainer to preserve sunrise/sunset timing.

## Enabling Volumetric Street Lights

***

{% hint style="danger" %}
T*his effect will cause a slight performance drop!*
{% endhint %}

To enable volumetric street lamps:

1. Open Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA V\settings.xml
2. Find the line: Lighting\_FogVolumes value="false" />
3. Change "false" to "true" and save.

* Toggle menu: Left CTRL + H (or Numpad 0).
* Numpad navigation:
  * 5 select
  * 7 / 9 switch categories
